Online School Testing
Students are supported by their teachers and the provided resources to master their education. Testing and assessment allow all parties to monitor the student's progress and determine the appropriate deadlines needed for the individual student to advance. Testing is done both online and in-person.
OHIO STATE REQUIRED SCHOOL TESTING
In accordance with Ohio statutes, high school and elementary school students are required to take the following tests:
- Ohio Achievement Assessment (grades 3-10)
- Ohio Diagnostic Tests (grades K-3)
- Ohio Graduation Tests (grade 10)
- Scantron Assessment (grades 3-12)
The Ohio Graduation Tests and the Ohio Achievement Tests are designed to measure knowledge and skills in citizenship, mathematics, reading, science, and writing.
We strive to provide all OHDELA families with convenient testing locations, no more then 50 miles from your home in, to meet our program and Ohio state testing requirements. Prior to each test period, testing dates and times are communicated to parents and students through the OHDELA Teachers and Academic Advisors.
SCANTRON TESTING
Another required assessment at OHDELA is the Scantron's Performance Series. These tests provide students with individualized specific results on their performance. Online testing adjusts automatically to each student's ability level, generating questions that will appropriately challenge each student. Scantron tests provide results immediately so that teachers can impact instruction and properly place students. The test will be administered three times per year to provide teachers with the information necessary to provide data driven instruction that is individualized.
CLASSROOM ASSESSMENT
Formative and Summative assessment tools will allow parent and teachers to monitor student performance in each class.
