Student Activities

OHDELA students have the opportunity to become more involved in the program through student activities and organizations including...

FIELD TRIPS
OHDELA field trips bring curriculum to life! Students of all ages utilize these opportunities to engage their minds and enhance their learning experience. OHDELA students have participated in opportunities across the state. These historical and cultural activities have included Cuyahoga Valley Train Rides, Boonshoft Museum, Great Lakes Science Center, and Kings Island Math & Science Day.

WASHINGTON DC TRIP
Every eighth grader has the opportunity to live their history lessons. A spring trip to our nation's capital provides a rich look at our past and present.

SCIENCE FAIRS
OHDELA conducts an annual Science Fair designed to give students an opportunity to demonstrate their scientific creativity.

HONOR SOCIETIES
OHDELA is proud to have a chapter in the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society. Eligible students may participate in service projects, earn volunteer hours, and socialize with fellow NHS and NJHS students. Our chapters promote academic success, outstanding leadership, character, service, and citizenship that exceed society's expectations.

STUDENT COUNCIL
OHDELA's Student Council provides the opportunity for students to gain valuable leadership experience. Student council is actively involved in community service projects such as Toys for Tots and the Ronald McDonald House. In addition this organization serves as a conduit for student input.
