Help your student take advantage of the many opportunities to excel and be recognized
At OHDELA, we believe your student should be put in a position to succeed - both inside and outside the classrom. We also believe it’s our duty to provide opportunities for our young students to find that motivation and be recognized when they do.
Here are just a few of the opportunities for students to achieve and advance with the help of OHDELA:
- National Honor Society: For nearly 100 years, the National Honor Society has given high school students an opportunity to be recognized for high academic achievement and strong character. Students are expected to participate in community service each month to promote leadership in the school and community. OHDELA also offers membership to the National Junior Honor Society for students in grades 6-8. Learn more about NHS on their national website.
- College Credit Plus: College Credit Plus is the name of the Post-Secondary Enrollment Opportunity (PSEO) in Ohio. Disciplined students can earn high school and college credits at the same time by taking courses at local community colleges and universities. OHDELA can help your high school-aged student find programs near your home. And best of all, tuition and books for public college courses are free. Learn more about College Credit Plus on the Ohio Department of Higher Education website.
- Independent Study: Looking for something outside of the standard OHDELA course catalog? Your student can work with an academic advisor to create an independent study program for course credit. Call us for more information on what kinds of programs can be turned into independent study for credit.
Just because your student will be a non-traditional student doesn’t mean he or she won’t have access to all sorts of opportunities to get involved and stand out. Contact us at (888) 878-4530 to speak with an OHDELA academic advisor and learn more.
