Our Academic Program

Online Middle School for 6th, 7th and 8th Grades

Learn how to make the most of our individualized curriculum and learning for middle school students.

In a lot of ways, the OHDELA online middle school experience is similar to what you’d expect from a strong traditional school. The curriculum is in line with Ohio’s learning standards, which push students to apply increasingly challenging concepts and skills to class materials and projects. All 6th, 7th and 8th grade students must learn the skills detailed in their grade’s learning standards for English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, and OHDELA middle school coursework reflects that.

What sets the OHDELA curriculum apart is the way it’s delivered; interactive activities and plenty of one-on-one time keep online learning fresh and varied. Students can complete self-directed work any time of day, and even work faster than the class’s pace. Working with the same learning programs that OHDELA high school students use, middle school students will be well-prepared for what comes next. They can also get involved with special achievement programs like the National Junior Honor Society before they make the jump to high school level courses.
