Special NeedsOHDELA provides a special-education program in accordance with current federal and state regulations and guidelines. The program is individualized to meet the unique needs of each child with a disability. These unique needs are met for each student in many ways:
OHDELA provides an educational evaluation for each student with a disability, and for students who are suspected of having a disability. These evaluations can be re-evaluations or initial evaluations. Initial evaluations are preceded by interventions, which attempt to address the child's academic concerns before moving on to a full psychological evaluation. OHDELA's Special Education Department recognizes the importance of providing specialized instruction for each child with a disability and works diligently to provide this instruction. |
